Whouuuuuuuuu houuuuu !

Toronto and Niagara Falls

Hi there! You missed my stories? Don’t worry I have a lot of funny, strange, exiting stories about my trip in Canada. So let’s start with Toronto and Niagara Falls.

About 2 weeks ago we decided to move to Toronto and then to the famous Niagara Falls. So after a long road with our Taurus (now it has 329000 km and still working!) we arrived at Toronto. Our first challenge was to find a parking and then took a boat to go on the small island.

On the pictures below you can see how the city and how the island look like. We were lucky the forecast weather were wrong we had a sunny week end as you can see. On the island we had a picnic birthday to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Angelic (Sandra’s sister). I became a fan of seagulls and especially Brigitte who can’t leave me now she even went to Gatineau to wake me up every morning… After a long promenade around the lake and around the amusement park (where I learned that swann is a Harcore porn actor…), a dead fish, some screams…

We decided to go for our hostel. And what a Hostel! First they weren’t nice with us, second they give us a key which wasn’t working, and then they give us another room with only 2 beds (we were 3)… After 20 mins we had our room, but we weren’t lucky because our car wasn’t park properly so we had a fine… 30 fucking dollars… After this we went to visit the city by night, even if big buildings are not my cup of tea I have to admit that the city is impressive. During the night we went to a night club we Swann and Louis, at around 1am they decided to leave I wanted to stay ^^ (and that’s what I did). Night clubs are closing at around 2-3am I wasn’t fare from my hostel and I knew the way (at the least that what I thought)… I mixed up a little bit I turned left one street before mine and wow I thought that I gonna die! In 500m 4 persons proposed me some drugs… I really was on the wrong, bad and dangerous street. But I was lucky I’m safe.

Day 2 after a short night we drove to Niagara falls, swann took the first switch and after 1hour we stopped to have a lunch in a snack called Wendy’s (I will never forget about it…). Niagara falls where at 40km from this point so we ate and then I drove us to the hostel. People there, were really warm, they showed us where to go and what we have to done there. After a quite long talk we went outside to pick up some stuff in the car. One thing in my mind appears… I felt cold… It’s not normal I thought “Where is my jacket?” I searched in the car, in my bag, in the hostel… Nothing… GOD DAMN IT I forgot it at the wendy’s… And it wasn’t just a jacket… Guess what my FUCKING passport was inside… I know I lost it once already… Now it’s two… I was lucky once again, I found it in the restaurant. Ok after this small trek let’s see the Niagara Falls…

Wow impressive… A lot of water. But it’s not that impressive to appreciate properly you have to take a boat which sails you as close as possible from the falls And that is Legen (wait for it) dary (only for HYMYM fans).

Then we mostly spend our day around the falls we also went for 1hour at New York but wasn’t worth going there we had to wait about 1 hour at the border… I just like my FIRST American Dollard :) anyway after that we looked at the falls during the night and it was nice but still it’s just water^^.

Day 3 we stayed at Niagara and visit some rapids and to get there we had a kind of trekking. As we say in France after the effort the recon fort what can be better than a good cheesy lunch? So for 30$ we had a very nice picnic package: Cheeses, cucumbers, cheeses, strawberries, cheeses, a baguette, some cheese, and some water. We were in a city called… I forgot but it looks like the perfect city (like in the movie pleasant Ville). And then we left we got a bit lost, but we thanks to that we know one thing now, if you want to get somewhere here you just have to go ahead all the time do not turn…

Ok that’s all for today I hope you liked my stories and enjoyed my pics.

See you.

Greg.

Late… As usually…

I know as usual I’m late. Anyway I can’t write everyday I have to work a lot… No just kidding I have to go out as often as possible! So what is new? Well some weeks ago, we went to a POW WOW, it’s a kind of event where you can see Indians dancing and singing… In a way it was fun even if we haven’t dance with them! We also went to visit some museum the first one was museum of civilizations and that was interesting the museum starts with the first nation and continue till nowadays (almost).

We also went for another museum, the war museum. This visit was interesting; I will try to explain why… At school, at the least for me, when I learned about WW2 I heard about France, Germany, USA, UK, Russia, Japan, Poland, Italy… But never about Canada! So the question now is why? Usa are the best and Canada sucks? Maybe we can’t talk about each country but come on Canada is not like a small country… Anyway this experience was interesting at the least now I feel less stupid… Or not…

Ok, what else? Oh yes I can talk about my transformation. So I was with Amal, Chrisel, Sandra, Aurelie and Swann and I was talking with Christel. Suddenly Amal asked me if she could use nails polish on me. So just for fun I said yes… I should have said no… Because after that she took some makeup and… And here is the result…

Anyway that was funny and now at the least I know how I look with girl stuff ^^, for some people I will probably appear as a gay or a transsexual or whatever… But you know what I don’t care!

Ok now about my courses… At the beginning I thought that it’s going to be hard… But now lol! It’s almost like ERASMUS… But you know “Almost makes a big difference”.

So we had 3 presentations and 1 report in Action research with this wonderfuck Max… His course was so fucking boring! Anyway we worked a little bit and what do we get? A- A and A+ we are waiting for the last grade but now this course is over and that’s a good point!

About financial analysis well maybe it was the most difficult course, but I don’t think I will have a bad grade I’m thinking about B if the teacher is rude!

And now the best part “Process… Something” I didn’t get this course and I think I never will… That was so messy! Anyway the exam was really funny it was a multiple-choice question… So with some luck I will have C :p (the grad which I need).

Today I started a new course “Project operational planning and control” I know sounds great! And it’s in English, I’m going to like it I’m sure!

So that’s all tomorrow I’m going to Montreal and this week end I will be in Toronto then I will visit Niagara Falls… And I promise I will put some pic really fast!

So thanks for reading me have a nice day.

Greg.

My life.

Hey hey hey ! What’s up?

Smoke some weed having a bud? Well here I can do it even if the Budweiser tastes like pee! Anyway let’s talk about my trip, again…

So even if I’m late on my blog… I will try to follow the time line of my journey ^^. So after some days we bought some bikes… And wow they are so damn crappy! In fact after 1 week of riding swann broke his derailleur was funny… At the least for me! Then we had an opportunity to buy a car for 400$ so a bit less than 250€, so after 5 seconds of intensive reflection with decided to buy THE car! It was at a party we had some beers and drinks… Anyway we bought it the Ford Taurus from the 1994 millésime and with only 325 000 Km!

6 seats, V6 3L (20l / 100km), cruise control, electric windows… The guy told us “If the car is dead tonight I give your money back. If it’s tomorrow… Well you are unlucky.”

So now we can drive in Canada and this is so damn great!

Our friends the Daltons were visiting us some weeks ago so we had a party and a ride with our Taurus, we were 6 in this wonderful car and well that was alright!

*

*

Hum and what now? What am I doing? Well, like usually going out having a beer and fun. So I’m going out with an amazing person and well we having fun together! We have the same way of life and we know how to live (at the least in our point of view). You can see on the pic that our hairs are almost the same color and we have beautiful eyes (especially me :p).

That’s my life :) , I enjoy Canada! Life is short, have fun.

Greg.

Gatineau power.

Hey hey !

Sorry once again… But you know me I’m lazy when it’s about my blog. So many things happened to me, I will try to be as clear as possible and not to forget about some events…

So we finally arrived in Gatineau, a very nice city very close from Ottawa, I’m living with my wonderful roommate Swann, you can see on that picture how happy we are ^^. We are living in a big apartment (about 60m2) Swann cleans, I cook. We have a swimming pool in the building so it’s nice to swim from time to time to relax after a long day at the univ.

*

*

*

Ok about my univ, it’s nice a lot of work but still I find the time to go out during the night, we have 3 courses now but they are not really interested, anyway Canada is nice and I don’t want to miss a thing about my travel !

We have met 5 really nice girls (from France) from left to right:

Christel (sirop de la nuit), Celine (chuck Norris’s daughter), Amal, Aurelie and Sandra.

*

We went together to « La cabane a sucre » a kind of restaurant where you eat everything with maple syrup and it’s tasty. For that we have rent 2 cars… And wow it’s not like in France where you get a crappy car ^^ 2 news big cars. Ok mine wasn’t as good as sandra’s car but still very nice one :) . This week end was really nice Quebecois are really warm people, “the hand on the heart”… Yep here it’s a peaceful world!

*

*

You can see on the next pic how tasty it looks ^^ the food was “à volonté” (all you can eat). After we went back and we found a water falls even if it didn’t look like it was also nice, I don’t know why there was a panel “no swimming” I wanted to try but they said that it was dangerous (strangely)…

*

*

So that’s all for this time :p next topic : bikes, cars and pubs :) .

See you.

Week End in Montreal

Hi everybody, sorry it has been a long time… It wasn’t my fault (ok I’m always saying that…), so as you all know I’m on the American continent! So let’s talk about Quebec, my first day was in Montreal, I was with my friend Swann and we were sleeping at Thibault’s flat.

I will try to explain what we did, at the least I will try to remember! So we were visiting the city center of Montreal, first we took the subway why I’m saying that? I know what you are thinking “we don’t care!” but it was funny because there is 3 lines on this subway and Thibault (who is living there for few months) found a way to lose us, ok just for one station ^^ but still it was kind of funny, at the least for Swann and Me… Thibault if you are reading me I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist talking about that.

Anyway, my first impressions were strange… Big cars, big buildings, a lot of Starbucks, Macdonald’s, Burger King (Vive la reload!) and so on. So I thought that my flight was wrong and it dropped us in New York ^^, but no it was me, I was wrong, I was in Montreal everybody speaks French or a kind of French let’s say ^^. So the first picture is me acting like an American with a cup of café (I already miss my café, I mean the real one not this sock juice!).

°

°

After that we decided to climb to Mont Royal… Another funny thing is that I took mostly winter clothes because one week before there was about 30cm of snow, now I’m fucked I have to buy new clothes because it’s fucking hot! Anyway you can see that I’m not a liar there is snow and I still don’t understand why it’s not melting??? It’s 25 and there is still snow… After and long long long, ok not that long, walk we finally reached the top and we could admire the background.

°

°

Then we went to the port and it was awesome! Not the port but the bicycle, which is actually a dual bicycle for 3 persons but with a wheel and… Ok just look the picture I’m not crazy, hum… Crazy doesn’t fit because I’m so let’s say Dumbass!ù

I also took a video even if it’s in French you can see how good I’m for doing special effects, I’m not running because the speed max of this pedalo was 6km/h…

After this incredible run we went to the Chinese district and well nothing special but I like this kind of buildings^^.

°

°

°

So this was last week actually, I’ve already one week late… I will try to write faster!

See you!
